The primary logos for Goldman Sachs are the blue box version and the signature wordmark version. The signature wordmark is used mostly for digital applications where screen real estate is limited. It renders better at small sizes, and is usually an easier proportion to work with in screen-based instances .

The secondary version should be used when full-color production is not available. The “Goldman Sachs” type is white and should not be filled with any background color. The box is black.

The reverse version should be used on backgrounds that would compromise readability of the primary logo or secondary version, such as a dark or black background, and/or in situations where full-color production is not available. The “Goldman Sachs” type should always be black, and the box white.

The outline version should be used in special situations when the recommended solid logo versions (primary, secondary and reverse) do not work. These situations include engraving, embossing, etching, embroidery or any other situation where production values severely limit a clean reproduction of the non-outline versions. The outline version may be used in black or white only.

The Signature Wordmark can be set in a circle in very limited cases. This treatment should only be used when pre-approved for social media avatars, and other digital instances where an app requires that the shape of the asset be a circle (Instagram, for instance) and the Blue Box logo does not fit well. It should not be used anywhere else.

The Goldman Sachs logo must always be shown clearly and prominently. This applies to not only the background, but also to interference from nearby text, photographs and other elements that might compromise its impact. Exceptions to this clear-space rule include the pre-approved Goldman Sachs lock-ups and websites. The example shown demonstrates the minimum clear space as one-half the logo height (denoted as “.5X” in the diagram). Clear space must be maintained in all formats to ensure the integrity of the logo and allow for maximum readability.

If a single division or multiple divisions co-host(s)/co-brand(s) an event with an external entity, the Goldman Sachs primary logo without identifier should be used with the external entity’s logo. The specific division(s) must be specified in the supporting text.
